Pinterest announced a 425% increase in searches for ‘‘working from home office ideas’ - a direct response to the way the world is adapting following the pandemic and a quick search on the platform showcases everything from layout inspiration to home office storage ideas. So what makes the perfect home office? Firstly, it should be a purposeful space that promotes productivity, whilst ensuring you’re comfortable and there is minimal distraction so you can get straight down to business - and it’s a topic on a lot of people’s minds. In fact, research shows that when businesses were asked why they’d continue with increased working from home in the future, 80% stated improved wellbeing as their main reason. National lockdowns have proved to both companies and individuals that home-working is a viable option that has a number of benefits, perhaps the most positive being an improved work-life balance. As more and more of us are embracing a new hybrid work approach, or, have made the permanent transition from traditional office working to office life within our homes, creating a space that makes you feel inspired and productive each time you sit at your desk has never been more important.
